Medfield, MA - Cruz Bay Custom announces today that Gene Libardi has joined the company as Principal Solution Architect. In this function, Mr. Libardi will be responsible for providing leadership and vision for Cruz Bay’s development and support of strategic enterprise engineering systems.
“I’ve had the privilege of working with Gene over most of the past three decades, so the opportunity to bring him on board here at Cruz Bay was a simple decision,” says Scott Heide, CEO of Cruz Bay Custom. “ETO is in Gene’s blood. He was involved throughout the 90’s with hands-on development and architecture of the original Engineering Intent development and automation environment, so he understands the tools as well as our customers,” according to Mr. Heide. Engineering Intent was acquired in 2005 by Autodesk, Inc.
“Working with Scott and the rest of the folks at Cruz Bay is both a fantastic, exciting opportunity, as well as kind of like putting on a pair of well-worn gloves,” says Mr. Libardi, who immediately stepped into active projects on his first day at the company. “I’ve been around this business forever, so it’s something that I understand really well. But being able to work with Scott and the amazing crew that he’s assembled is really invigorating. It’s a tremendous team. I get to work with some really smart people.”
Cruz Bay has grown steadily since its inception in 2009. With major customers around the globe, and several new exciting prospects, Mr. Libardi will oversee a new era for the company. “We see terrific opportunities around the world,” commented Mr. Heide. “But we can only grow by maintaining the best team and crafting the best solutions. Gene’s joining the team enables us to do more work, and he’ll be a great teacher and mentor for our newer and younger folks.”
